Data comes in.
Data is transformed.
Data is served.
Those flows need to be scheduled and monitored.

You cannot remove these without breaking the system.

Everything else is optional and needs to be:

– clearly owned

– singular in purpose

– easily explained

Each exception comes with ambiguity, added cognitive load, and the need to find the right person.

You're not slow. That delay is the property of the system.
